World Cyber Security Forum (WCSF) takes immense pleasure in announcing our
first ‘ E-Moot Court Competition, 2021 ’. This competition aims at providing a
platform to budding lawyers to instil a sense of shrewdness, professionalism and
The theme of the Moot Court Competition will be based on Cyber Laws. In the
present times, it is imperative to understand and know about the basics of the cyber
domain for everyone and very essential for law students to understand the
intricacies of the Cyber Laws. Cyber Laws are important as they revolve around all
the transactions and activities over cyberspace. Every action and reaction in
cyberspace has some legal and cyber legal angles.

II.a.1. All recognized law schools, universities, and institutions in India with a
minimum three year of LL.B. courses shall be eligible to participate.
II.a.2. Each participating team shall comprise a minimum of two (2) members and
maximum of three (3), wherein two (2) members, shall be designated as Speakers
and one (1) member as Researcher (optional).
II.a.3. No team shall contradict the composition mentioned above. No faculty
member, coach, or a designated observer will be allowed to join the
video-conferencing or chat room during the session.
II.a.4. The language of the competition will be English.
Dress code
The dress code for the participants shall be formals.
Men are expected to wear Western Formals only (Black Blazer, Black Pants, White
Shirt, and Black formal shoes).
Women can wear Western Formals (Black Blazer, Black Pants, White Shirt, and
Black formal shoes).
c. Registration
1. Teams are supposed to complete their registration by 23 th February, 2021.
2. Registration fee for the competition is INR 1199 per team.

4. Upon confirmation, every team would be given a 24 hours period to transfer the
registration fee of INR 1199 per team. The payment details shall be sent through

6. After the payment has been made by the team, a screenshot depicting payment
confirmation with transaction ID must be sent to . The
payment will be confirmed after the details have been shared and verified.
7. Final registration of the teams is subject to the successful payment of the
registration fee within the stipulated time.
8. There shall be no refund of the registration fee under any circumstance, unless
the competition is called off.
9. Final decision on any issue shall be of the organising committee.
10. By applying for the competition, the teams shall be deemed to have accepted
the rules, terms and conditions as stated in this document.
d. Memorandum
II.d.1. Each Team participating in the Competition must prepare a memorandum on
behalf of the Prosecutor/Applicant and on the behalf of the Defendant/Respondent.

II.d.2. Each team must send its memorandum via e-mail to the O.C. at latest by 14th March , 2021 by 23:59 hours IST.
II.d.3. Any memorial submitted after the deadline shall be subject to penalty for
late submission.
II.c.4. The Memorial must contain the following parts only:
Format Specifications
1. Each Team is required to prepare a memorial for each party of the dispute
with the following mandatory heads:
i. Cover Page
ii. Table of Contents
iii. Index of Authorities
iv. Statement of Jurisdiction
v. Statement of Facts (Must Not Exceed 2 Pages)
vi. Issues Raised
vii. Summary of Arguments (Must Not Exceed 2 Pages)
viii. Arguments Advanced (Must Not Exceed 25 Pages)
ix. Prayer (Must Not Exceed 1 Page)
2. The Cover Page must contain only the following information:
i. The Team Code in the upper right corner of each memorial. No other.
ii. The page must contain the team code.
iii. The name of the Forum resolving the dispute.
iv. The name of the Competition.
v. The jurisdiction under which they are approaching the court/tribunal.
vi. Name of the parties and status before the Forum.
vii. The party on whose behalf the memorial has been prepared
3. All parts of the memorial (including headers, footers and headings) must be
typed on A4 sized paper/format, with the following Formatting
