To recognize Babasaheb’s contribution to academia, we are organizing 1st Dr. Ambedkar Memorial lectures on 14th April 2021.
The lectures shall be delivered by eminent personalities,
Seats are limited and it shall be on a first come first served basis only,
The Entry Fee is only 20 rupees per person,
Certificates and Refreshment shall be provided to attendees only.
The lectures are open to the public from any stream,
The lectures will be delivered in offline mode at Juris Hall, Second Campus, University of Lucknow.

For 1st Dr. Ambedkar Memorial Lectures, 3rd Bhimotsav National Essay Writing Competition, Quiz and Debate competition.
Dr. Ambedkar proposed the Parliamentary system for our Democratic country however, most laws are drafted by the executive and parliamentary input into their formulation, with many bills being passed after barely a few minutes of debate that is Suppression of Representative Democracy. In present times, due to the rubber-stamp majority in the Lok Sabha, Indian parliamentary system is running in a presidential style because tge legislature cannot truly hold the executive accountable since the government wields the majority in the House.
Debate Topic: Should there be a government with an absolute majority in Parliament as it promotes suppression of representative democracy, which is opposed to the idea of Parliamentary Democracy forwarded by Dr. Ambedkar.
The entry fee is 50 rupee per team,
There shall be a team of 2 participants,
One shall speak for the motion and the other shall speak against the motion,
There shall be 2 rounds- prelims and finals,
Teams qualifying prelims will be forwarded to finals
The time allotted to each speaker is 5 minutes, which shall be 5+5 per team,
The Oral round shall be followed by a 2-minute Rebuttal round,
Non- compliance with the allotted time shall lead to deduction of marks(-5),
Marking shall be based on Fluency, Body Language, Pronunciation, Understanding of Topic, Coherence of matter etc,
Debate shall be conducted on 13th April 2020 in the Faculty of Law, University of Lucknow
Life and Struggle of Dr. Ambdekar, and
Legal and Constitutional Vision of Dr. Ambedkar, and
Philosophical, Religious, Economic and Reformist Vision of Dr. Ambedkar. against the motion.

The quiz shall be conducted on 13th April 2021 in the Faculty of Law, University of Lucknow.
Participants are required to bring their electronic devices. Participant are forbidden to use of any search engine or any other extra printed/non-printed material, which shall be the ground for immediate disqualification.
There will be negative marking.
There will be two rounds
Prelims: 50 Multiple Choice Questions in 15 minutes. Candidates qualifying prelims will be forwarded to the final round
Final Round: 25 Multiple Choice Questions in 15 Minutes.
Entry fee for Quiz Competition is 30 Rupee per person

National Essay writing Competition
Role in India’s Independence Movement,
As a Chief Architect of the Indian Constitution,
Bringing Untouchables to the mainstream of Indian Society,
Changing hierarchical structures of Indian Society,
Role in shaping the Legal Rights of women in India,
Majoritarianism and Governanace,
Dr. Ambedkar and revival of Buddhism after Independence.
National Level Essay Writing competition shall be organized in online mode and the last date for registration of same is 08 April 2021.
The participants shall submit their work by 11:59 PM, 10th April 2021.
The essay shall be submitted via email at bhimotsav.lkouniv@gmail.com and the subject of email shall be “Essay_Your Name”.
The mail body shall consist of Name, College & Contact Number.
The entry Fee for Essay competition is 50 rupee for Single Author or 75 ruppes with Co-author.
The article shall be written in English or Hindi only.
An article can be co-authored by a maximum of two participants.
The word limit of the article should be 1200- 1500 words.
Plagiarism is strictly prohibited and will be monitored. Guidelines for the article are as follows: Font: Times New Roman Font for English and Kruti Dev 10 for Hindi Size: 12 for the body, 14 for titles Citation: Bluebook 19th Edition The article will be evaluated on the basis of Grammar, Understanding of topic, Expression, Research, and Coherence.
